Political grandstanding

It angers me that some started using the tragic events of Monday even before any facts were known. The particular case I'm referring to is Jack Thompson going on national TV to claim a link between video games and this national tragedy. Yes, this should spark additional debate on gun control and violent video games. But to do what he did, hours before a suspect or any possible motives were release by police, is irresponsible at best. It is with the utmost respect for the fallen, as well as their family, friends, and fellow students, that I link to the article which dissects Jack Thompson's lies. It disgusts me that the major media continues to allow Jack Thompson to use the victims of these tragedies in this way, with no facts to back him up. Give these families and friends, and the nation, a chance to grieve. There will be time for debate later.
