Blogtipping for June 2007

Today is June 1, which means that it's blogtipping time again! For those who don't know, the first of every month is blogtipping day. To participate, just pick three blogs and write three things that you like about each, followed by a tip that might help them make their blog just a little bit better. This month, to help celebrate the launch of my new running blog, I'm going to go with a running theme.

First up is Runningmonkeys:
  1. Excellent name for the blog. It hooked me right away.
  2. Nice, clean, layout.
  3. Great resource, even for a beginner like myself.
Tip: You have a blogroll section listed in your sidebar, but nothing in it.

Next up is booyaa dot org:
  1. Again, I like the name of the blog.
  2. Another nice, clean, layout.
  3. I love reading about your progress and your first marathon. It's an inspiration as I chase down my first as well.
Tip: The function of the "Open/Close" link isn't clear until you actually click on it.

Finally, because there are only a couple of running blogs in my feedreader, my last victim this month is MarathonRookie.com.
  1. Excellent resource for beginners!
  2. All three sites have something in common other than being about running. Yup. Layout.
  3. I love the quotes that are sprinkled across the opening page
Tip: Add a blog to the mix, and the site would be perfect.

Also, like last time, I'm going to include an honorable mention. This month's honorable mention is Marathon-Training-Plans. You set it up and made your first post in February, but haven't done anything with it since. I hope you still plan on developing it. Consider this a vote of confidence that it'll become a great resource some day.
