Windows Update
There's a machine at work that I've been unable to run Windows Update on in forever. Tonight, I finally solved the problem. After much research my suspicion lied with BITS, so I dowloaded BITS 2.0 as part of KB842773. Windows Update still wouldn't work, so I opened a command prompt and ran "net start bits" to start the service. No luck (Error Code 2)... So, I found an update for Windows XP SP2, KB884020, and ran it. After the required reboot, "net start bits" worked! Finally, after all this time, I've managed to solve the problem. Now, off to grab 58 security updates, 5 software updates, and check out the 2 hardware driver updates to see if they're of any interest...
